Who We Are

Chimaera Sound Studios is a one-stop-shop for artists throughout Northern Colorado and Wyoming who are looking for a complete and professional experience at affordable rates. We pioneered fixed rates and financing.

We've put together a great mix of classic gear, modern tools, and a 20,000 cubic foot live room, all designed to create a premier musical environment for all types of music and musical artists.

Services

Recording

Our tracking sessions are provided as a complete service. Included in the basic rate is the engineer, assistant, and if needed, producer services. The facility can be booked by the hour, day, or by the week.

Mixing/Mastering       

Chimaera has an editing and mixing facility in addition to featuring a separate mastering room. Each track will be thoroughly edited prior to mixing. During the mix process, we work with our artists to ensure the final product represents their musical goals.

Josh Depperschmidt

Lead Certified Audio Engineer

Josh comes to us with over ten years of experience and as a graduate from famed Blackbird Studios in Nashville Tn. He's recorded and mixed artists ranging from Metal to Country and uses those experiences across genre's. 

Iain Williams

Sound Design/Engineer

Iain is a sound designer, studio engineer and music producer. From producing individual tracks to full albums or composing a complete sound design album, he is constantly striving to create unique sounds.

Chris Williams

Owner/Engineer/Producer

Chris came to engineering as a result of performing & recording music. He has been a producer since 1992 and brings a vast array of styles and influences to each project. In addition to musical production, Chris also assists our artists with managing the full project( recording, production, art, photography, video, social presence).

Having been an independent performing and recording musician, but never having been truly thrilled with the "industry" Chris developed a vision to dynamically change the mission of a "recording" studio, by providing all the services artists need to become successful while remembering that the artists and music must come first.
